Varese hospital introduces animal-themed forest for pediatric patients

The Audiovestibology department of Asst Sette Laghi in Varese has introduced a new themed environment designed to support young patients with hearing impairments. Funded by a donation of approximately 25,000 euros from the Il Ponte del Sorriso Foundation, the project transforms the hospital entrance into a fantasy forest populated by animals.

To make the rehabilitative process more welcoming and less intimidating, the animals in the installation feature large, recognizable ears to symbolically represent hearing challenges. The visual narrative, which includes elements like a large green rhinoceros, is intended to use art and creativity to improve the emotional well-being of children during their medical treatments.
