Varese hosts weekend of sporting and cultural events

The Varese region is hosting a series of community events from October 23 to 25. A central highlight is the seventh edition of the Varese City Run, which began with the 'Pulciniadi' event. This youth-focused program involved 450 children from 18 local schools participating in various athletic disciplines, including basketball, rugby, and motor coordination workshops, alongside educational modules on nutrition and breathing.

Other regional activities include the reopening of an ancient community oven in Cuirone to bake traditional rye bread and 'brusèla', and the fifth Pumpkin and Chestnut Festival in Cunardo to support a local nursery school. Additionally, Busto Arsizio is hosting a lecture by Professor Massimo Caccia regarding particle research and digital protection, while Bodio Lomnago is organizing a wellness and prevention day.

Residents are also reminded that daylight saving time ends during the night between Saturday, October 24, and Sunday, October 25, when clocks will be set back one hour.
