Various Indonesian organizations announce 2026 award recipients
Several Indonesian organizations have finalized their lists of award recipients for 2026, recognizing individuals and institutions for their contributions to society.
The National Committee of Indonesian Youth (KNPI) has established the KNPI Award 2026 recipients under the theme “National Youth Movement Moves, Indonesia Impacts.” The awards aim to honor youth figures who demonstrate leadership, integrity, and dedication to national service.
The Persatuan Inteligensia Kristen Indonesia (PIKI) held its inaugural PIKI Awards 2026 on October 25. The awards covered eight categories, including tolerance, environment, economy, anti-corruption, education, health, innovation, and culture, plus special honors for philanthropy and religious freedom. Notable recipients include Abidin Wakano for tolerance and Carina Citra Dewi Joe for research and innovation in vaccine technology. The selection process involved the Indikator survey agency and dozens of judges.
Additionally, the Regional Representative Council (DPD RI) Expert Board held a marathon meeting to determine winners for the DPD RI Awards 2026. The board evaluated candidates in four categories: non-formal education innovators, health technology innovators, regional culture preservers, and food-independent village movers. Winners will be announced at a ceremony in November.
