Various municipal traffic and licensing initiatives launched in Brazil
The municipality of Sumé, Paraíba, has launched a selection process for its 'CNH Social' program. This initiative aims to provide free driver's licenses to low-income residents, offering 60 immediate vacancies for categories A or B, additions to these categories, or changes to categories C, D, or E. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, literate, and have resided in Sumé for at least two years.
In Botucatu, the Municipal Secretariat of Urban Mobility (Semutran) has adopted the Electronic Notification System (SNE). This digital tool allows vehicle owners to receive traffic violation notifications via the 'CNH do Brasil' application. By using this digital system, drivers can access details regarding infractions and may receive discounts of up to 40% on fine payments, provided they meet all legal requirements.
