Varna Municipal Council holds extraordinary session

The Varna Municipal Council is holding an extraordinary session on August 31, 2026, to address eight key agenda items. A primary focus of the meeting involves approving expenditures for the sports, education, and culture directorates for September and October, ahead of the formal adoption of the 2026 municipal budget.

Additionally, the council will consider loan financing for City Transport EAD to ensure the company can meet its obligations to the National Revenue Agency (NAP) and other suppliers. Other topics include the allocation of social support funds through the Social Protection Fund for families in crisis, the selection of judicial jurors for the Varna District Court for the 2027–2030 term, and decisions regarding the management and control of local medical facilities, including the Specialized Hospital for Active Treatment of Pneumo-Phthisiatric Diseases.
