Varna Municipality initiates demolition of illegal restaurant

The Varna Municipality has initiated administrative procedures to demolish the Nemo restaurant located in the ‘Starite Lozya – Bunata’ area. Following an inspection by the municipal Construction Control department on October 14, officials issued a report stating that the two-story building was constructed without a building permit or approved investment projects.

Although a certificate of tolerance was issued by the Primorski District chief architect in 2020, inspection data suggests the building did not exist prior to 2001. Consequently, officials have determined the structure is illegal and does not meet the requirements for tolerance under the Territory Management Act.

Additionally, the municipality has issued a report regarding another illegal structure in the ‘Sv. Nikola’ area near the intersection of Prince Boris I Boulevard and Arch. Manol Yordanov Street. This site, consisting of a car wash and dining facility, includes a 180-square-meter metal canopy structure that was found to be in violation of legal requirements despite a placement permit issued in 2022.
