Var’s Festival de la Lune launches outdoor cinema season July‑August 2026
The Festival de la Lune, an outdoor cinema series in the French department of Var, runs from 7 July to 25 August 2026. Screenings take place at the Clair Val auditorium in Carquerranne, as well as at Château La Tulipe Noire in La Crau and Domaine Tropez in Gassin. The opening film on 7 July is “Le Diable s’habille en Prada 2”. Subsequent premieres include “Les Matins Merveilleux” (8 July), “Mauvaise Pioche” (15 July), “Des Minions et des Monstres” (21 July), “La Vie d’une femme” (28 July), “Quelques mots d’amour” (18 August) and the closing title “Spider‑Man : Brand New Day” (25 August). The programme also features themed evenings, a short‑film night on 5 August and a double‑screen session on 11 August.
Beyond screenings, the festival supports regional creators through its third edition of the “Résidence sur l’intention cinématographique”, a five‑project writing residency for PACA filmmakers that runs 1‑5 August in Carquerranne. The initiative is backed by the Métropole TPM, the Var departmental council, the FDVA, DRAC PACA, the city of Carquerranne and the University of Toulon.
