For the first eight months of 2026, total admissions reached 127.92 million, a 28.5% increase over the previous year. The market share was split between American films (48.4%) and French productions (37.2%). Key drivers included *Spider-Man: Brand New Day*, *Toy Story 5*, and *Minions 3*, alongside successful French titles such as *Tombé du ciel* and *De la comédie française*. Christopher Nolan’s *L’Odyssée* also contributed significantly, drawing 5.7 million viewers.

Cultural engagement remained high through community programming. In late August, the “Août au Ciné” initiative in Concordia hosted a free screening of *Joker: Folie à deux* at the Les Sucreries residence, supported by the State and the CNC to provide access in areas lacking French-language theaters. Similarly, Périers hosted a screening of the comedy *Un p’tit truc en plus* at Parc Tollemer for a €3 admission fee. Other regional programs, such as the Festival de la Lune and various village-led screenings, continued to flourish throughout the season.
