Václav Havel memorial tree planted in Znojmo

A Václav Havel memorial tree, a small-leaved lime (Tilia cordata), was planted in Znojmo to honor the values of the late Czech statesman. The event was organized by Znojmo Mayor František Koudela and included participation from the local Orla association.

Actor Ondřej Vetchý served as the tree's patron. The ceremony included a commemoration of the values Havel represented, such as freedom, democracy, and mutual respect. Following the planting in the park above the Louka Monastery, participants moved to a memorial for victims of communism to honor political prisoners and other victims of the former regime.
