Cultural tributes in Prague have expanded to include the Havel ALIVE festival at Prague Castle, running from October through January and featuring music, design, and public debates. Significant theatrical premieres have also been announced: the Czech premiere of ‘The Warning’, an unfinished play by Havel that remained hidden for nearly 40 years, and ‘Perpetuum Havel’ at the Akropolis Palace. The latter, presented by the Laterna magika of the National Theatre, uses movement theater to depict Havel’s 1989 detention experiences and incorporates projections of contemporary political prisoners selected in collaboration with Amnesty International.
