Vedanta Delhi Half Marathon 2026 to host 41,000 runners

The Vedanta Delhi Half Marathon 2026 is expected to draw over 41,000 participants on Sunday, October 18. To accommodate the event, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) will begin services at 3:30 am on the Red, Yellow, Blue, and Violet lines. Participants can travel to and from the venue at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium free of cost using special QR code wristbands provided by the organizers.

Organizers, including Procam International, have implemented extensive safety and logistical measures. Medical support will be led by the Metro Group of Hospitals, deploying 450 medical staff, 11 medical stations along the route, and an ICU setup at a post-finish medical base camp. Security and traffic management will involve approximately 200 police personnel and 70–80 traffic police officers.

The Open 10K route has been revised to start from Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium at 7:35 am. A socio-economic study suggests the event could have an impact exceeding ₹400 crore on the Delhi-NCR region through contributions to local hospitality, retail, and businesses.
