Vegas Golden Knights rally to beat Maple Leafs, end sellout streak

The Vegas Golden Knights overcame a three-goal deficit to defeat the Toronto Maple Leafs 4-3 in a shootout at T-Mobile Arena. After Toronto took an early 3-0 lead through goals from Jack Roslovic, Easton Cowan, and Nick Paul, Vegas mounted a comeback with scoring from Mark Stone, Brett Howden, and a penalty shot by Jack Eichel. Rookie Trevor Connelly secured the win by scoring in the fifth round of the shootout.

Notably, the game marked the first time in franchise history that the Golden Knights failed to sell out a home game. Official attendance was 15,977, falling short of the 17,367 capacity. This ended a 10-season streak of sellout games spanning 420 regular-season and playoff contests.

The loss highlights ongoing defensive concerns for the Maple Leafs, who have struggled with instability in their blue line this season. Despite a strong start and a goal from Easton Cowan, Toronto was outshot 43-24 by Vegas.
