Vegas Golden Knights hockey performance

Overview

The Vegas Golden Knights extended their winning streak to three games with a 4-3 shootout victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs at T-Mobile Arena.

Despite an early deficit where Toronto led by three goals within the first nine minutes through scoring from Jack Roslovic, Easton Cowan, and Nick Paul, Vegas staged a comeback. Mark Stone and Brett Howden provided the necessary responses, and Jack Eichel scored a penalty shot goal to tie the game. Trevor Connelly eventually secured the win by scoring the decisive goal during the five-round shootout.

While the victory marked a successful rally, the game also ended a significant franchise milestone. For the first time in ten seasons, the Golden Knights failed to sell out a home game. Official attendance was recorded at 15,977, falling short of the 17,367 capacity and breaking a streak of 420 consecutive regular-season and playoff sellouts.

Regarding roster changes, Raphael Lavoie played in place of the injured Victor Olofsson. The contest also highlighted defensive instability for the Maple Leafs, who were outshot 43-24 by Vegas despite their early lead.
