Vehicle accident on A16 motorway in Switzerland

A vehicle accident occurred on the A16 motorway between the Bassecourt and Glovelier junctions on Sunday, October 25, 2026, at approximately 6:30 p.m. One vehicle collided with a wildlife protection fence and subsequently came to rest on its roof on a field path.

Emergency services, including the Cantonal Police and ambulance services, responded to the scene. One person was treated by paramedics and transported to the Hôpital du Jura in Delémont. The accident caused partial traffic disruptions for approximately one hour. The Cantonal Police are currently investigating the cause of the collision.
