Traffic accidents in Jura region, Switzerland

Overview

A series of vehicle accidents occurred in the Jura region of Switzerland during late October 2026.

On October 22, a collision on the A16 motorway near the Courgenay junction resulted in injuries to a female driver and caused ninety minutes of traffic disruption. The following day, a driver lost control on the Route d’Alle in Porrentruy, colliding with a tractor and causing over an hour of delays.

On October 25, another accident was reported on the A16 motorway between the Bassecourt and Glovelier junctions. A vehicle struck a wildlife protection fence and overturned in a field. One individual was treated by paramedics and transported to the Hôpital du Jura in Delémont. Local police have initiated investigations into these incidents.
