Montenegro and Croatia report drug seizures and financial fraud

Law enforcement agencies in Montenegro and Croatia have conducted several operations targeting drug trafficking and financial crimes.

In Montenegro, police in Ulcinj arrested one individual and processed another following the discovery of cocaine. In Pljevlja, authorities filed criminal charges against a resident for allegedly smuggling over 21 kilograms of marijuana to Serbia. Additionally, the company Vektra Jakić and its executive director, Dragan Brković, are under investigation for allegedly defrauding creditors of approximately 1.2 million euros through the unauthorized sale of company assets.

In Croatia, a court in Split issued a verdict regarding a drug possession case involving 700 grams of cocaine. Igor Dokić was sentenced to two years in prison after admitting to possessing the drugs for personal use, which led to the acquittal of Marko Gilić on those specific charges. Both men remain in custody due to a separate ongoing murder investigation.
