Velia Archaeological Park to host wine and history event

The Velia Archaeological Park will host the event ‘Il Vino e la Magna Grecia’ on October 24, 2026. Organized by the Direction of the Paestum and Velia Archaeological Parks in collaboration with the FISAR Salerno Delegation, the initiative is part of the 54th National FISAR Congress held in Ascea Marina.

The program includes a guided tour of the archaeological site starting at 15:30, followed by discussions at the Velia Theater. Experts such as Tiziana D’Angelo, Alfonso Santoriello, and Mauro Menichetti will speak on topics including park valorization, enotourism, cultural landscapes, and the wines of Magna Graecia. The event will conclude with a wine tasting.

This initiative marks the beginning of a collaboration between the archaeological park and FISAR aimed at promoting the historical, cultural, and enogastronomic heritage of the Cilento region, using wine as a lens to connect history and local landscape.
