Venetian and Lombardy regions launch initiatives to promote high‑quality agri‑food products

In Veneto, regional officials Dario Bond (Agriculture) and Gino Gerosa (Health) convened a working table at Venice’s Palazzo Balbi with major retailers and farmer organizations. The forum aims to create a territorial brand for Veneto’s agricultural excellence, encourage healthy nutrition and draft a protocol that will involve the broader distribution network and collective catering after the summer break.

In Lombardy, Agriculture assessor Alessandro Beduschi met Sogemi president Cesare Ferrero to seal a protocol that will showcase DOP and IGP products through the Milan Agro‑Food Market and fifteen city markets. The agreement targets dairy, beef and freshwater fish sectors, promoting consumer education and strengthening the competitiveness of Lombardy’s certified food chains.
