Veneto health minister Gino Gerosa criticised over delayed community health centres
Regional Health Minister Gino Gerosa visited the private‑accredited hospital in Abano Terme, highlighting the Veneto model’s reliance on an integrated network of public and private facilities to ensure accessibility, appropriateness and continuity of care. He stressed that accredited structures are essential for delivering regional health services.
Opposition councillor Elena Ostanel contested the administration’s claims about the rollout of the new "Case di Comunità". Although Gerosa announced 63 community houses as operational, Ostanel said only three are fully functional and that the majority are merely built structures lacking staff and services. She accused the government of misleading citizens and called for transparent data on staffing and service provision. The debate underscores ongoing concerns about the effectiveness and transparency of Veneto’s health‑care expansion.
