Veneto offers up to 200 euro subsidy for public transport
The Veneto region has announced the Buono TPL Veneto 2026, a subsidy designed to reduce the cost of annual public transport subscriptions for buses, trams, or regional trains. The program allocates 5 million euros to provide discounts of up to 200 euros for first-time applicants, while those who previously benefited from the program will receive a 160 euro discount.
To qualify, applicants must be adult residents of Veneto and the owner or first holder of a motor vehicle. The beneficiary of the transport pass must be an adult student or worker, hold a valid driver's license, and reside in Veneto, traveling habitually to or from a provincial capital.
Applications must be submitted online by 12:00 PM on August 31, 2026, though the fund may close earlier if the 5 million euro budget is exhausted. The voucher is applied as a direct discount at the time of purchase for a single annual subscription and cannot be split or refunded if the subscription cost is lower than the voucher value.
