Veneto Region Approves €1.4 Million Disability Training Plan
The Veneto regional government has approved a training programme worth €1,437,210 to support Italy's national disability reform. The plan, funded by the Ministry for Disabilities, will be rolled out across all 24 social‑territorial areas of the region over a two‑year period starting in early 2027.
The initiative centres on the new “Project of Life” approach, aiming to place the individual with a disability at the centre of care, promote autonomy and inclusion, and involve families and professionals. Training will be delivered in partnership with the Fondazione Scuola di Sanità Pubblica and will target health and social workers, municipal staff, third‑sector organisations, schools, universities and professional orders.
Regional Social Affairs Assessor Paola Roma thanked Minister Alessandra Locatelli for designating Veneto as the pilot region for the training activities, highlighting the reform as one of the most significant changes in disability policy in recent years.
