Camponogara: Tania Terrin murdered by ex-partner who then committed suicide
Tania Terrin, 39, was murdered in her Camponogara home on the evening of Ferragosto. Investigators believe her ex-partner, 43-year-old Dino Keber, strangled her before traveling to his home in Dolo, where he committed suicide by hanging.
The victim's mother, Marinella Forner, reported that the family had filed between seven and eight complaints with the Carabinieri regarding Keber's behavior over the past two years. Records show that in April, Keber allegedly attempted to strangle Terrin, leading to a formal complaint and a medical certificate. In June, the Questore of Venice had issued a formal warning to Keber to cease his domestic violence conduct.
Terrin had expressed fear of her ex-partner to neighbors via WhatsApp, warning them not to open the door for him. Following the tragedy, the Veneto Region has declared a day of regional mourning. Veneto Regional Council President Luca Zaia described the incident as a failure of the system, calling for stricter laws and more effective state protection for women who report violence.
