Venezuela advances scientific training and research oversight
In Anzoátegui, Fundacite has launched an intensive training program for Nirma Rivero and Julio César Ruiz Hernández, the two students who qualified for the national phase of the 2026 Venezuelan Nanotechnology Olympiads. The training focuses on nanomaterial synthesis, technological applications, and scientific methodology.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Science and Technology, Yván Gil Pinto, inspected facilities at the Venezuelan Institute for Scientific Research (IVIC) in Miranda. The visit included evaluations of the Biotechnology Center, Molecular Biology Laboratory, and Cell Therapy Unit. The Ministry also indicated that new research project calls specifically targeting female scientists will be announced shortly.
