Venezuela healthcare updates: Hospital rehabilitations and medical training

Public health facilities in Venezuela are undergoing improvements through infrastructure rehabilitation and specialized medical training.

In Sucre state, Governor Jhoanna Carrillo announced the delivery of three rehabilitated operating rooms at the Santos Aníbal Dominicci Hospital in Carúpano. Formerly a maternity ward, these new surgical spaces include a recovery room and three intensive care areas. The facility is equipped with solar panels to ensure energy autonomy during procedures. This expansion aims to reduce surgical wait times, and the hospital expects to implement a digital X-ray unit shortly.

In Guárico state, the Hospital Doctor Pedro del Corral has launched a continuous professional training program for its medical staff. The initiative focuses on the advanced management of arterial hypertension, covering pathophysiology, international clinical practice guidelines, and updated pharmacological protocols. The program seeks to improve early diagnosis and treatment efficacy to reduce cardiovascular risks among the local population.
