Venezuela implements road rehabilitation projects in Aragua and Zulia
Infrastructure projects are underway in Venezuela to improve road connectivity and safety. In Aragua state, the state company Vías de Aragua has begun rehabilitating the Cagua-La Villa national highway. Technical inspections indicate that over 50,000 square meters of road surface have been scarified, with plans to lay more than 3,000 tons of asphalt to connect the central zone with the Llanos region.
In Zulia state, Governor Luis Caldera has launched an integral rehabilitation plan for an eight-kilometer stretch in Punta Iguana. This work aims to improve access to the General Rafael Urdaneta Bridge over Lake Maracaibo. The project involves the immediate application of 12,000 tons of hot asphalt and includes improvements to lighting, road distributors, and hydraulic infrastructure such as culverts and bridges. The regional goal is to recover at least 30 kilometers of highly deteriorated roads by the end of December.
