Venezuela road infrastructure rehabilitation
Overview
Venezuela has initiated several infrastructure projects focused on road rehabilitation and connectivity. In Aragua state, the company Vías de Aragua is working on the Cagua-La Villa national highway, involving the scarification of over 50,000 square meters of road surface and the planned application of more than 3,000 tons of asphalt to link the central zone with the Llanos region.
In Zulia state, Governor Luis Caldera launched a plan to rehabilitate an eight-kilometer stretch in Punta Iguana to improve access to the General Rafael Urdaneta Bridge. This project includes the application of 12,000 tons of hot asphalt alongside upgrades to lighting, road distributors, and hydraulic infrastructure. The regional objective is to recover at least 30 kilometers of deteriorated roads by the end of December.
