Venezuela promotes over 2,800 firefighters

In Venezuela, more than 2,800 firefighters were promoted to higher ranks during the 89th anniversary of the National Directorate General of Firefighters. Vice Minister for Risk Management Juan Carlos Oti Paituvi announced that 2,807 professionals received promotions based on merit.

Oti Paituvi highlighted the operational integration between forest, urban, marine, and aeronautical firefighters, who work alongside Civil Protection and the National Bolivarian Armed Forces (FANB) to respond to natural and man-made emergencies. The ceremony also included tributes to fallen officers and a review of recent emergency responses, including seismic events and international humanitarian efforts through the Simón Bolívar Humanitarian Task Force.
