Venezuela transport authorities address terminal services and route suspensions

Authorities and transport stakeholders in Venezuela are working to address service issues at passenger terminals. In the Independencia municipality of Yaracuy, officials from the local Mayor's Office and the National Institute of Land Transport (INTT) held a working meeting to improve terminal services. Agreements were reached to strengthen internal organization, ensure vehicle flow, review route compliance, and enhance security protocols, particularly for minors.

In the Bolívar municipality of Táchira, workers at the San Antonio del Táchira terminal have requested the INTT reactivate interurban routes at the border. These routes were suspended in April 2024 due to road collapses on Troncal 1. Although many road sections have been repaired, the suspension continues, leading to suburban units loading in public streets rather than the terminal facilities. Local officials met with an INTT commission to discuss these needs.
