Venezuela weather: INAMEH monitors tropical waves and rain potential

The National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (INAMEH) is monitoring several atmospheric systems affecting Venezuela. Tropical waves 49 and 50 are currently moving across the tropical Atlantic and remain under observation for their potential influence on the country's weather.

Weather conditions are being driven by an active Intertropical Convergence Zone (ZCIT) and a monsoon trough extending toward northern Colombia and western Venezuela. These systems, combined with local convective effects and diurnal heating, are expected to produce cloud cover, rain, and electrical activity.

Forecasts indicate partial cloudiness and clear skies in many areas, though regions such as Bolívar, Amazonas, the Western Plains, the Andes, and Zulia may experience showers and thunderstorms. In the Gran Caracas area, morning drizzle may give way to increased cloud cover and variable intensity rainfall by the afternoon. Additionally, light concentrations of Saharan dust are present in the eastern and northern parts of the country.
