Venezuela weather: Tropical waves bring rain and upcoming storm activity

The National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (Inameh) has issued weather forecasts for Venezuela, noting the influence of tropical wave No. 54 and the Intertropical Convergence Zone. Current conditions include afternoon rains and electrical activity in regions such as Bolívar, Amazonas, the Llanos, and Zulia.

Looking ahead, Inameh reports that tropical wave No. 55 is approaching the Central Tropical Atlantic and is expected to reach the Guayana Esequiba region between October 6 and October 7.

For the upcoming weekend, conditions will vary. Saturday is expected to be mostly clear in many areas, though afternoon showers with electrical discharges are possible in Amazonas, Falcón, Zulia, the Western Llanos, the Andes, and the North-Central Coast. On Sunday, rainfall accumulations are projected to increase, particularly in Zulia, Delta Amacuro, and the Central-Western region. The current tropical wave season is expected to continue until November 30, with an estimated total of 51 to 57 waves.
