Venezuelan Governor Luis Caldera delivers 520 transformers to Zulia municipalities

On Friday, July 31, Governor Luis Caldera handed over 520 distribution transformers to the 21 municipalities of Zulia, covering 109 parishes. The delivery took place in Carbozulia and was attended by Corpoelec officials, local mayors and first lady Roselyn López de Caldera.

Caldera said the shipment, the largest single‑batch distribution in recent state history, follows instructions from interim President Delcy Rodríguez and Energy Minister Rolando Alcalá. The equipment, produced locally, aims to restore power to thousands of families affected by recent heavy rains, equipment aging, overloads and vehicle accidents, with crews working through the weekend to reconnect service.
