Venice activists to protest after influencer assault

Activists from the Morion social center have announced a demonstration in Venice on September 19 to protest recent violence against influencers. The protest will begin at 5:00 PM at the Venezia Santa Lucia station.

The demonstration follows an incident on September 12 in Campo San Bartolomio, Rialto, where a group of content creators and right-wing activists were involved in a physical altercation. The confrontation began when local activists confronted a Bolognese content creator known as “JollyTime” and several foreign influencers, including Tom van den Heuvel (Dutch Travel Maniac) and former professional kickboxer Robbie Hageman.

While JollyTime claimed the actions were for self-defense, video evidence suggests the verbal dispute escalated into physical violence involving pepper spray, kicks, and punches. The assault resulted in eight people being treated at emergency rooms, totaling 106 days of medical prognosis. Investigations are ongoing, utilizing surveillance footage to clarify the dynamics of the event.
