Venice Film Festival 2026 features new directorial debut and star arrivals

The Venice Film Festival 2026 features several notable Italian figures in both cinematic and fashion capacities. Actress Anna Foglietta makes her directorial debut with the film ‘Una storia’, a marital drama starring Alba Rohrwacher and Guido Caprino. The film, which follows a couple whose lives are disrupted when their daughter moves abroad for university, will be presented in the Orizzonti section.

In addition to film premieres, the festival serves as a major platform for high fashion. Actress Barbara Ronchi, serving as a juror for the Orizzonti section, appeared on the red carpet in a Louis Vuitton velvet and lace slip dress. Singer Levante, appearing as an actress in the film ‘Rider’, wore an archival 1995 Giorgio Armani dress. Anna Ferzetti also made an appearance at the Lido wearing Gucci accessories and palazzo jeans.
