Venice to host secret Harry Potter anniversary event

Venice is set to host a special event on September 1 dedicated to the Harry Potter universe, marking the ‘Back to Hogwarts’ tradition and the upcoming 25th anniversary of the film ‘Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone’.

The exact location of the celebration remains a secret. Guests are scheduled to depart via shuttle around 7:00 PM from Piazza San Marco and Piazzale Santa Maria Elisabetta at the Lido, only discovering their destination upon arrival. Speculation regarding the venue includes the Granai della Giudecca, the island of San Servolo, or other exclusive lagoon structures.

The event, coordinated by Warner Bros. Discovery with support from partners such as LEGO, Panini, and Rubies, will feature a special film screening and immersive themed areas designed to replicate the atmosphere of the magic school.
