Venâncio Mondlane outlines Anamola's political mission in Mozambique

Venâncio Mondlane, leader of the Anamola party and 2024 presidential candidate, stated that the party aims to assume ‘generational responsibilities’ in the transformation of Mozambique. Speaking in Quelimane, Zambézia province, Mondlane emphasized that the party's mission extends beyond merely seeking political offices.

Mondlane expressed the intention to address the aspirations of Mozambique's younger generation and move beyond traditional partisan disputes. While seeking seats in the Assembly of the Republic and government positions, he noted these are consequences of a broader mission to interpret societal needs and transform them into concrete proposals for the future.

The party has set ambitious goals for upcoming electoral cycles, including the 2028 municipal elections, where Mondlane believes the party has the capacity to secure a majority in all 65 municipalities. He also indicated that Anamola is preparing to contest the 2029 general elections, potentially forming alliances with other opposition forces and local figures to create a ‘common front’.
