Venture Global secures major LNG deals with China and Greek consortium

Venture Global has secured several major long-term liquefied natural gas (LNG) supply agreements over the past eight months. Most recently, on September 14, the company signed a 20-year contract with China Gas Holdings to supply 0.5 million tonnes of LNG annually, beginning in 2030. This brings China Gas Holdings' total long-term commitment from Venture Global to 2.5 million tonnes per year.

Despite a 15% Chinese tariff on US LNG and ongoing trade tensions, Chinese buyers continue to secure long-term supply. This development highlights the strategic importance of the existing agreement between Venture Global and Atlantic SEE LNG Trade, a joint venture between AKTOR Group (60%) and DEPA Marketing (40%).

Atlantic SEE LNG Trade previously secured a 20-year agreement for 1 million tonnes of LNG per year, also starting in 2030. The timing of these contracts is noted for securing volumes at pre-crisis prices, providing long-term energy security amidst market volatility.
