VentureTECH and ANZ startups secure millions in new funding rounds

VentureTECH, a Malaysian government-backed investment firm, has announced strategic investments totaling US$6.85 million (RM28 million) into three Bumiputera-led companies: Move Robotic Sdn Bhd, Recove Group Sdn Bhd, and Edote Sdn Bhd. These investments aim to bolster Malaysia's technological capabilities in industrial automation, digital inclusion, and healthcare innovation, supporting the Bumiputera Economic Transformation Plan 2035.

In the Australia and New Zealand region, eight startups successfully raised a combined US$67.4 million this week. Notably, the Sydney-based agtech company Farmbot secured US$15 million in a Series B funding round led by Lewis & Clark Partners. Farmbot, which manages livestock monitoring via satellite-connected sensors, intends to use the capital to expand its global operations and transition its parent company to a Delaware corporation.

Other startups receiving funding in the ANZ region include Atmo Biosciences, Alloy Robotics, Vexev, Fabulate, Kantoko, Sterling, and Enrola.
