Mexico security forces conduct widespread arrests and seizures

Security forces and judicial authorities in Mexico have conducted a series of operations targeting organized crime, corruption, and public safety. In Veracruz, the Fiscalía General del Estado (FGE) executed 43 search warrants across 33 municipalities between July and August, resulting in 37 arrests and the seizure of weapons, drugs, and vehicles. Additionally, the FGR seized nearly 5,000 liters of fuel in Carrillo Puerto and Tlalixcoyan.

In Sinaloa, federal and state forces detained 10 alleged members of the Sinaloa Cartel in Concordia, seizing weapons, ammunition, and methamphetamine. In the State of Mexico, two government officials from the Ministry of Environment were arrested for allegedly operating an extortion ring targeting emission verification centers.

Other regional activities include the arrest of a suspect for attempted homicide in Oaxaca, the prosecution of a person for illegal possession of wildlife in Veracruz, and the detention of individuals for fraud and document forgery in El Marqués. Local authorities in Xalapa have also increased patrols to protect vulnerable minors in street situations.
