Veracruz authorities seize mega arsenal and 440 kg of marijuana in Tierra Blanca
On June 15, federal and Veracruz state forces carried out coordinated raids in the municipality of Tierra Blanca, located in the Papaloapan basin of southern Veracruz. Three search warrants were executed by the Guardia Nacional, the Fiscalía General de la República, the Secretaría de Seguridad Pública, the Navy and the Army.
The operations recovered a massive cache: 108 long‑guns, 50 grenades, 2,700 magazines, 51,400 cartridges, three grenade‑launchers, 22 sacks and 10 boxes of pyrotechnic material, two Razer‑type vehicles, a pickup truck and two motorcycles. Authorities also seized 440 kg of marijuana, an interdiction valued at more than 11.5 million pesos, striking a significant financial blow to organized‑crime groups operating in the region. All seized items and the three confiscated properties have been turned over to the Fiscalía General de la República for further investigation.
