Veracruz Festival celebrates community in Ciudad Juárez

The second edition of the ‘El Veracruz del Norte’ festival was inaugurated at the Pueblito Mexicano administrative unit in Ciudad Juárez. Organized by the State Government through the Secretariat of Tourism in collaboration with Congreso Ciudadano A. C., the event aims to strengthen ties between the local community and the Veracruz diaspora.

Approximately 65 exhibitors are participating, offering traditional gastronomy, crafts, and jewelry. The cultural program features music from the harp, jarana, and marimba, alongside folk dances and workshops for coffee preparation and candle making. The festival serves a significant population, as an estimated 110,000 people from Veracruz reside in Ciudad Juárez.

Funds raised during the festival will support the construction of the Casa de Enlace Veracruzana in the southeast of the city. This facility is intended to provide support, guidance, and accompaniment to individuals from Veracruz and southern Mexico who are settling in Ciudad Juárez.
