Veracruz hosts diverse cultural and automotive events
The state of Veracruz is hosting several significant cultural and community events. The Carrera Panamericana, a historic automotive competition, recently passed through the state, featuring 72 vehicles from 12 countries including the United States, France, and Spain. State Tourism Secretary Igor Rojí López noted that the event serves to project the region internationally through the digital reach of its participants.
In Xalapa, the 16th Antique Car Exhibition brought together over 200 collector vehicles, with proceeds supporting the local Heroic Fire Department. Additionally, the third edition of the Jalapeño Chili Festival is being held at Parque Juárez to promote local gastronomy and regional identity.
Looking ahead, the Veracruz Ministry of Culture has announced a series of free Day of the Dead celebrations running from October 27 to November 2. The program includes traditional altars, musical performances, and the ‘Almas del Mictlán’ parade in Xalapa, as well as the Tamal, Bread, and Chocolate Festival.
