Veracruz Military Service Program Offers Full‑Time Three‑Month Training

The Batallón de La Boticaria in Veracruz has opened a three‑month full‑time military service program, known as the "modalidad encuadrada," for young conscripts. Participants live, train, and learn alongside active members of the Mexican Army, receiving weapons instruction and daily military life experience.

The program runs three cycles per year, each lasting three months, allowing recruits to join at various times. Recruiters from the Army and the National Guard visit the battalion to identify candidates for permanent service. A recent ceremony honored more than 20 standout participants from the 2026 training cohort.
