Veracruz opens free two‑year tourism school for students

Veracruz state government announced the launch of the Escuela Veracruzana de Servicios Turísticos, a free two‑year technical program to train professionals for the tourism sector. Admission is open until 19 August, with applications accepted at the World Trade Center Veracruz in Boca del Río; results will be released on 20 August. The curriculum includes English, Mexican and Veracruz cuisine, food‑and‑beverage service, hotel operations, tour‑package design and digital promotion. Governor Rocío Nahle said the initiative aims to strengthen a fast‑growing economic activity in the state.
