Mexico and Ecuador issue missing person alerts
Authorities in Mexico have issued Amber Alerts for several missing minors. In Puebla, 13‑year‑old Damary Sorendy Sosa Martínez was last seen on 13 July 2026 wearing a navy‑blue long‑sleeve shirt, black trousers and black shoes. In Ecatepec, 16‑year‑old Danna Yamileth Gutiérrez Vargas vanished on 6 July 2026; she was described as 1.52 m tall, with red hair, a scar on her left eye and a nose piercing.
In Ecuador, the Public Ministry announced the disappearance of 62‑year‑old Jairo Iván Vallejo Vallejo, last seen on 14 July 2026 in Plaza Modena, Cumbayá, Quito. The ministry asked the public to call the 1800 DELITO line with any information.
Separately, the Fiscalía General del Estado in Chihuahua reported the location of three previously missing individuals—two adults and a 16‑year‑old minor—who were found in good health after being reported absent earlier in July.
