Veracruz to host charity concert for DIF Municipal shelters

The DIF Municipal de Veracruz will host a charity concert titled ‘RÉQUIEM MEXICA: Los 9 niveles del Mictlán’ on Friday, October 9, at 19:30 at the Teatro Francisco Javier Clavijero. The symphonic and choral production, composed and directed by Veracruz artist Israel Cahue, is inspired by the Mexica worldview and the nine levels of Mictlán. The performance integrates music, solo voices, and audiovisual projections.

All proceeds from the event will benefit the DIF Municipal, specifically supporting local shelters and Community Child Assistance Centers (CAIC). Funds will be used to assist children and seniors under the organization's care. Tickets are available at the Museo de la Ciudad and the theater box office. Following its performance in Veracruz, the production is scheduled to be presented at the Castillo de Chapultepec in Mexico City.
