VERAXA Biotech presents proof-of-concept data for BiTAC-ADC platform
VERAXA Biotech has presented its first in vivo proof-of-concept data for its BiTAC-ADC technology platform at the 17th World ADC Congress in San Diego. The study utilized a breast cancer model, where a single 3 mg/kg dose resulted in significant tumor regression without a decrease in body weight.
In vitro studies further indicated that the platform can distinguish cancer cells from healthy cells and prevent the release of active toxins outside of the tumor. The BiTAC-ADC design requires both components to engage tumor cells, a mechanism intended to reduce the off-target systemic toxicity often associated with conventional antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs). These findings suggest the platform may offer a differentiated safety profile while maintaining efficacy comparable to existing ADC therapies.
