Vercelli to host Risò International Rice Festival

The Risò International Rice Festival is scheduled to take place in Vercelli from September 11 to 14. The second edition of the event will focus on the theme of water, addressing critical issues such as climate change and the severe droughts experienced in recent years.

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and Agriculture Minister Francesco Lollobrigida are expected to attend the inauguration. The event will feature ambassadors from thirty countries and include discussions involving scientists, experts, and industry operators.

In addition to institutional meetings, the festival will offer immersive multimedia experiences and exhibitions, including a commemorative display marking 160 years since the construction of the Cavour Canal. The program aims to engage both industry professionals and the general public through various cultural and educational activities.
