Versuni research highlights moving and home rituals in Turkey
Versuni has released the results of the Philips Home Report 2026, a study involving 9,250 participants across 12 countries, focusing on how people create a sense of ‘home’ in Turkey.
In Turkey, the research indicates that shared time, food, and beverage rituals are central to making a house feel like a home. Specifically, 61% of participants stated that drinking tea or coffee together enhances this feeling, while 51% noted that the aroma of cooked food is a key factor. Other significant elements include food preparation (47%), eating meals with loved ones (46%), and maintaining clean, organized living spaces (45%).
Regarding the transition to new residences, approximately one-fifth of the Turkish participants reported moving within the last two years. To establish a sense of belonging in a new space, 22% of respondents prioritize thorough cleaning, 21% focus on redecorating or making spatial changes, and 14% begin by preparing tea or coffee.
