Vessev secures $19M Series A to launch electric vessels in the U.S
Marine technology company Vessev has announced $19 million in Series A and follow-on financing to support its entry into the United States market. The funding round was led by Blackbird Ventures, with participation from new investors GD1 and Rypples, as well as existing investors including K1W1, Icehouse Ventures, Shasta Ventures, and NZVC.
As part of its U.S. expansion, Vessev has secured FlyTahoe, a sustainable water transit operator in Lake Tahoe, California, as its first American commercial customer. The company plans to use the capital to accelerate serial production of its VS-9 electric hydrofoiling vessel line, expand its global go-to-market team, and advance its onboard software and telemetry platforms. Vessev also intends to support future manufacturing plans within the United States.
