Veterans Day 2026 observances and resources announced

Various communities and educational institutions are preparing for Veterans Day on November 11, 2026. In Central Florida, several events and discounts are scheduled to honor military members. Merlin Entertainments’ Florida attractions, including LEGOLAND Florida Resort, SEA LIFE Orlando Aquarium, and Madame Tussauds Orlando, will offer free admission to military members, veterans, and first responders from October 1 to November 30, 2026. Additionally, the Florida Veterans Coalition will host the Seminole Patriot Fest on November 6.

In the education sector, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and the Veterans Day National Committee have released the 2026 Veterans Day Teacher’s Resource Guide. This guide provides educators, including those in Iowa, with classroom-ready lessons, historical information, and community engagement ideas to facilitate discussions about the contributions of the approximately 18 million veterans living in the United States.
